On February 15th 1943, while carrying flour and tractors, Taranto stack an underwater mine and sank near small island Grebeni. Two tractors, an excellent example of agricultural machinery of its time, stand next to the wreck on the sandy seabed. Wreck Taranto is home of very rich sea flora and fauna: sponges, mullets, cardinalfish, scorpionfish, lobsters etc. Divers are descending along the anchoring line and ship`s bow appears on 10 m depth. The ship’s steam engine lies at approx. 45 m, its 10-metre chimney rising upwards. The stern lies at 50 m
